Common Questions
Everything you need to know before booking your first test.
- No referral is required for most of our panels, including CBC, vitamin panels, STI screening, thyroid, and lipid tests. A small number of specialized diagnostics may require physician authorization β these are clearly marked at booking.
- Your sample is collected using sterile, single-use equipment and transported in a certified biohazard-safe container to our accredited partner laboratory within 2 hours. Chain of custody is maintained throughout, and your sample is never shared or stored beyond the required retention period.
- Results are shared exclusively with you by default. You may optionally authorize us to forward your results to a physician or specialist of your choice directly from your patient portal β fully PIPEDA compliant.
- We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, e-transfer, and corporate invoicing. Most tests are not covered by OHIP, however many extended health benefit plans reimburse lab fees β we provide official receipts for all services.
- Most appointments take 10β20 minutes from arrival to departure. The blood draw itself takes under 5 minutes. Our technologists prioritize patient comfort β especially for pediatric and elderly patients.
